Cask - The Bell Hotel (JDW), Norwich. A clear golden colour with a lasting one-finger white head on the pour. Some citrus, mid fruits and biscuity pale malt on the aroma. Bittersweet on the tongue with more citrus, pale malts, some floral character and then grassy hop towards the finish. A light to medium body, soft palate texture with a medium length, soft intensity finish.
Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Dec 2012 - Amber in colour. Malty; sweet malts, caramel. Fruity; some citrus fruit, lemon. Hoppy; slight grassy hops. Sweet malty fruity throughout. OK. Drinkable. (2012-12-06)

Tried at the Felix Holt, Nuneaton. As Banks & Taylor Santa’s Slayer. Golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma berries and light citrus, taste sweet, to mid bitter. Gary (1999) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2016
Cask @ a spoons. A low boost golde that’s anorexic on body or palate, and quite frankly not very festive. A gimmick name and concept. Flavours of bready malts, lemon hops, citrus. Really mundane. The_Osprey (7886) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2016
Cask handpull at The Crosse Keys Bishopsgate as ’Banks and Taylor Santa’s Slayer’. Golden yellow clear still foamy white head. Aroma is bready, light citrus. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is grainy, white bread, gluey, dusty, light bitterness. A nice and very drinkable balanced golden bitter. Looking through the ratings consistency might be a problem, but very good on this showing. Don2711 (470) - - NOV 25, 2016
Bit bland. Grassy and mild malt. Hint of sulphur doesn’t help. Really nothing special.

Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 29 Nov 2012. Poured a clear copper, with a scummy white head. Aroma was very light; some malt, grass and berries. Caramel and dried fruit flavours, with a little spruce hop bitterness. Finish was honeycomb, straw and hop resin. madmitch76 (24431) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013

Market Porter. Clear amber beer, good cream coloured head. Light palate, softish with mild fine carbonation. Nice! Creamy malt. Mild tangy orange hops. Not bitter! Semi dry finish. Just a whisper of sulphur but otherwise a decent Christmas ale.
Cask at Market Porter, London. Deep golden beer with a quite nice offwhite head. Malty bready aroma, biscuits, some dough, apples, pears, citrus, some toffee. Citrus flavor, pears, bready, yeasty, dough, biscuits. A bit unfresh and with a somewhat strange yeasty finish. stravale (3055) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - DEC 24, 2012

Copper, clear, bubbly thin frothy head
Aroma of very faint fruity malts, almost nothing
Taste of caramel malts, sweet caramel, soft fruity malts, touch of dark honey, reasonable flavour, easy drinking, no faults
Palate - Thinnish body, light bitter finish
Overall - Just above average Spoons beer, not bad, not a Christmas beer apart from the pump clip
Cask handpull at CountyHotel JDW Ashford. Clear deepish gold colour thin white head. Bit of rubber on this. Ok condition very light in flavour not much hop.
