1PT can 03/2017 shared by Impuritylaw at Freiburg Deluge Tasting 03/2017. - Takes a self-assured oldschool approach to DIPA/TRIPA executed with a timely restraint: candied stonefruit and pineapple with a juicy carambola fruit acidity piercing through the cooked honey malts. Has some age on it, but still balanced and delicate, with some heat seeping through the jam-slathered hop oils.

Fair tallboy. Misted, straw gold brew with a white head. Continually streaming, fine grained carbonation. Plasticky pineapple aroma - seems to be the house ’thing’. Tangy, moderately sweet, frooty, Slightly heavy body, twangy/boozy finish. Warming. For external application only. Market Square Liquors, Tallahassee.

Meh, aroma is underwhelming and flavor isn't as hoppy as I had hoped. Alcohol isn't overwhelming. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

MartinT (9932) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 5, 2017
My Bottom Line:
Grapefruit candy, honeyed cereals and resinous bitterness are met every step of the way by alcohol warmth in this classic take on the Double IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the misty dark blond.
-Body is on the sweet side. This is definitely a sipper.
-This one isn’t trying to emulate the NEIPA standouts of Trillium, Tree House, Alchemist, etc.

Cans.

swesson (462) - Highlands Ranch, Colorado, USA - JUL 13, 2017
On draft at Parry's. Pours an orange-gold and makes a very thin white head. Aroma is of dank pine resin, hops, and grapefruit. Tastes of pale malts, caramel, and fresh hops. The high abv is well hidden in this little gem, so be careful. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beaver (1807) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 17, 2017
16 oz can. Pours murky dark gold with a medium creamy white head that quickly goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.

The aroma is earthy malt with floral fruity spicy hops and a little mint.

The flavor is sweet sugary fruity malt with resiny piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation and is a bit watery.

Overall, a decent fruity DIPA.
