2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
7th Oct 2014 in the brewery tasting room: the last and third offering from the head brewer who had conducted the tour and poured our beers while answering questions from our group of beer geeks. Nice set up with some good cold food to help the flow of beers go down. Anyway back to this beers attributes:
Poured from a tap, it was clear amber with a creamy, lasting head on each pour. Aroma is malty and semi-sweet, as is the taste. The alcohol is not hidden too well because the beer does not have enough flavour or depth to carry it off, I had three 0.3 litre glasses just to make sure I knew what I was talking about! The finish did have some hop bitterness but this is a malt dominated brew that does not need so much alcohol within it’s make up.
