Orange with a clear white top. Reminds of Orval but lacks the punch. Smells of citrus fruits. Hops, a bit of citrus but the watery finish disappoints. Read metallic in another review and I can confirm...

RudiGR (86) - Dendermonde, BELGIUM - OCT 15, 2017
Foto's: http://www.beersfrombelgium.eu/nl/Mystere-b-4233.h

Amberkleurig bier met crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Geur: geroosterde mout, licht hoppig, kruidig. Smaak: lichtjes metaal, bitter, licht zoet, karamel, sinaasappel. Medium volmondig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: wat metaal, licht bitter. IPA? Komaan zeg.

laiti (8507) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 14, 2016
Draught @ Cafe Rose Red. Aroma has sweet fruitiness and grassy hops. Promising, smells like De Ranke Harvest or Hommelbier. Flavour has hops, grass, fruity notes and some biscuits. Good, but not excellent. Flavour is filled with menthol-like hoppiness.

Alengrin (5629) - BELGIUM - FEB 20, 2016
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2016 Big (75 cl) bottle bought at Rotsaert. Bottle opens with a bang, but no significant gushing. Very thick and frothy, rocky, thickly lacing, egg-white head on top of a hazy amberish orange blonde beer. Saison- but also lightstruck-like aroma of fermenting grass, ammonia, burnt rubber (DMTS), wet leather, green banana, wet dog, dried apricot, biscuit. Crisp, fruity onset, unripe stonefruit, touch of pineapple with a sourish hint, softish carbo, toasted malt bitterishness, bit nutty, gentle grassy hop bitterishness in the end, drying and yielding some retronasal flower aromas along with floral accents. Quite alright, unfortunately skunked, but whatever this is supposed to be, it is way closer to saison than to IPA...

bartlebier (4117) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - FEB 8, 2016
75cl bottle and/or tap pour at BBF 2016, Festival Bier. - ZA. Virtually no nose besides yeasty dough, not even fresh one. Tastes like a duller Augustijn Blond with a bit of a grassy hop bite, the yeasty quince bitters, unripe peel - but by no means any of the used aroma hops coming to the fore. Alas another oldschool Belgian where the cartoon characters on the label are more memorable than the generic, implosive yeast bomb inside, exterminating all life and oxygen, coating the tongue in a yeast fur - quite a few beers did that this weekend actually. - Not the best starter/welcomer for a 21th century festival. - The real mystère: From Namibia to Lithuanian Honey Beer, Backdoor Cafe to Brugs Bierfestival, Strubbe can (and will) contract brew anything (cf. Haus der 131 Biere atrocities against international beer culture.). - Maybe at the 500th jubilee of the Reinheitsgebot, Belgium should convert to German Sharia and vice versa German brewers start brewing clean experiments - win, Old Europe, win?

From tap @ Brugs Bierfestival (01.02.2014) Almost clear darkgolden to copper color, with creamy off-white head. Aroma: some sweet, hops, yeast, fruits (mango ?). Medium body. Taste: fruits, yeast notes, nice hops, bitterness. Good.
