Growler that my brother brought over. I had this about a year ago and enjoyed it - and am enjoying it again today. I haven’t had that many schwarzbiers, but this was as good as any that I have had. Malt and smoke are present, but don’t overkill the base beer, which is a nice flavorful lager. If you’re ever in Rancho Mirage/Palm Springs, stop at Babes for some good BBQ and beer. On tap at Babes Bar-B-Que Grill & Brewhouse 1/8/10. Now marketed as Blackfin Lager. Pours a dark brown with moderate tan head. Aroma is biscut malt and caramel. Flavor is very sweet and not smoky for a supposed schwarzbier. Lots of caramel and toffee flavors and just a hint of light coffee malt. timmy300 (203) - bloomington, Illinois, USA - JUL 25, 2005
