Who’d have thought that white chocolate & pilsner would be such a good match, this beer is really unique.

Bottle. Gold with a large white head that lasts pretty well. Aroma is grainy with chocolate and vanilla, some pepper. My concern after a whiff or two was that the chocolate would be too much, but not really. It fattens up the malt initially but isn’t that sweet, then doesn’t hang around as the finish dries out nicely with vanilla and some other spices amidst the moderate bitterness. Sometimes with novelty beers the first 100ml is fine but after that it becomes a chore. At the end 500ml I’m still liking this one.

Clear golden orange with thin white cap. Nose is lots of zesty passion fruit, and some cocoa butter. Flavor is much the same. Smooth, rich cocoa butter, tangy passion fruit, just a little citrissy hop character, crispy, slightly dry and biscuity finish. Light body, standard carbonation. Really interesting.

050815. Finally a pilsener with some real flavour and aroma. Possibly one of my favourite Bacchus beers. Crisp and clean in the mouth with strong flavours of white chocolate and vanilla.

Amazing aroma of white chocolate , a little cloudy, thin lasting head. A very distinct flavour with a lingering aftertaste of chocolate. Really good stuff, go get some now!

Draught as a sampler at CraftBrewer (Bacchus Brewing Company), Capalaba - Brisbane. On July 22, 2013.
Slight bit hazy golden color, white head. White chocolate, malty, sweet taste. White chocolate, bitter aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. White chocolate, sweet scent.
Oddly this works!

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2012 On tap at Spotted Cow, Toowoomba. Poured a pale gold colour with a thin white bubble head that diminished quickly and gave spotty lacing. Low carbonation. Quite a strong aroma of chocolate and sweet vanilla that lasted until the end. Taste sweet and strong of white chocolate, again able to be tasted to the end. Light body. Chocolate dominates finish but a trace of bitterness came through. Not a fan of white chocolate but this was tasty to the end. Unusual. Nice!
