12oz. can from Brewery: This one is now at 6.5%: they must have changed the recipe a bit from the original ratings. It pours a clear, dark brownish-amber color. There was a bit of an off-white head that didn’t linger long or leave any lacing. The aroma is good. Some spices, of which cinnamon is predominate and a touch of the honey. Some caramel malt. The taste is good. Caramel malts, but no real sweetness. Earthy hops, some of the cinnamon and a hint of nuttiness. This is nice! argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 23, 2013
Draft. Small beige head atop clear cola-brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, clove, allspice, some caramel, light earthy. Taste is medium sweet, earthy/orange, some caramel, light allspice. Light-medium body, light stickiness. Reynolds314 (3477) - Connecticut, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Very mediocre holiday ale. Light spices over a boring lightly nutty amber ale. Very safe mass produceable mediocrity. Not overly impressed by these guys. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - NOV 29, 2012
On draft at the brewery, plain amber with very light spices, very easy drinker, I hate bashing local breweries but this is lane and boring. Too safe.
