Black with tan head. Aroma is large burnt coffee. Flavor is dry roast and espresso. Very dry finish with a lot of malt bitter. A touch watery on the end but solid

Nice, easygoing coffee stout, dry and roasty with a slow rising mocha bitterness and a mildly sweet middle. Finishes on a flourish of java and a yeast. Good.

12 oz bottle with a Jan. 2016 bottling date served in a goblet. Pours dark brown with a decent head. Black and opaque in the glass. OK aroma and good flavor with plenty of dark roasted grain and a moderate-mild amount of coffee. Excellent, creamy smooth, full body with well set medium-low carbonation.

A well done stout. Not a ton of coffee however. Nose is malt light vanilla. I believe the coffee is all grain and not based on actual coffee. No bitterness. Smooth. Decent average stout. Well done but not much in the coffee stout world. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

First of all, Id be very surprised if this is 8%. Seemed to clock in somewhere in the low 6% area. Secondly, I like coffee stouts, but I like them to be really coffee-y. There is some coffee, some vanilla, some burnt toast. So the coffee is there, just not as much as I like.

Rating #2268 - 2015.12.19 - Bottle #19 in the 2015 Craft BeerAdvent Calendar Beautiful dark brown pour with a fairly foamy tan head with mild lacing. Aroma is coffee, roasted barley, mild alcohol, lots of espresso earthy notes on the palate. Medium-heavy alcohol warmth but not ultra boozy on the palate. Love the un-shy coffee forwardness, and the sweet molassesy notes that linger.

Black appearance with a large tan head. Faint aroma of coffee, chocolate, and licorice. Flavor is somewhat bitter with coffee, chocolate, and a hint of espresso. Yeah redundant so. Overall very nice.

Pours a thick, dark brown with reddish-brown running through its tan, rich head. British porter nose with aromas of chocolate syrup and sweet cherry. Rather thick on the palate. Lightly sweet. Well-balanced. Some chocolate. Sweet cherry. Dark roast coffee. Dark malt. Finishes a bit smoky.

Draft @ Savannah Tap House w Erica. Dark brown w/ even, whispy coffee-colored head. Coffee isnt in-your-face but it comes through supplemented by little bits of vanilla bean and trace malts on the back end. Some weird metallicism on the nose.
