Pour is a deep dark brown with no real head. Aroma is carmel and smoke but very light. Flavor has lots of caramel malts and a nice chocolate touch. Jamesthebrit (484) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 14, 2015
Aroma is dirty woody. Oaky. Big oak note
Looks fine. Explosive carbonation. Mid brown with tan head.
Taste is just like aroma. Huge oak note. Dirt. Earthy.
Palate is actually good... The flavor profile is strange and one would think with the taste notes it would be out of control but it’s not.
Overall a good showing for s Porter. alexsdad06 (11242) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - OCT 11, 2015
12 oz. bottle from shrubber85. Pours a deep garnet hued dark brown color with a large, fluffy beige head. The aroma and flavor have some dark roasted malts, ash, hints of dark chocolate, quite a bit of a general bitterness, the way it foamed and the off flavors hint at infection, the deScription mentions citrus which I am not seeing, as it is, this is a bit of a mess for me and hard to drink. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - JUL 6, 2015
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
This beer is a dark brown colored brew with a medium sized off-white colored head. The aroma is a distinct blend of malt, hops and cocoa. the taste is really good and is a fine example of an American Porter. The palate is a medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation.
Overall- A really good porter that is another example of a fine beer from Back Forty

Deep brown, red highlights, huge, frothy, dark tan head.
Chocolate, citrus aroma.....orange....
Taste is creamy cocoa, vanilla.....mildly spiced citrus hops.
Quite tasty...the hop/chocolate malt combination balances quite nicely.

Bottle. Light chocolate malt and herbal hay aroma. Dark chestnut brown with large light tan head. Sweet cola, chocolate malt and moderately bitter herbal grass flavor. Nice body. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 2, 2015
Black pour from draft at Bills by the Beach in Gulf Shores. They had this under Fairhope, made it hard to find this. Super thick and creamy pour with a thick layer of creamy head. Taste is nuts and coca, break, and malts. Good beer overall.
