AWISLguy (3180) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 1, 2014
bottle from Total Wine in Stuart enjoyed in honor of the new 22 year old. Pours a pale golden orange with a bit of a white spongey head. Aroma has light citrus and pine with some yeast-y-ness. Taste is of tangy yeasts, a bit of spicy pine and some orange zest and a touch of sour grape. Lightly bodied. Finishes short and lightly sweet with faint bitterness at the end. Shrug? Could glimpse where they may have wanted to go, and that would be solid. It is not there now.

FROM NOTES: July 1, ’12 12oz bottle, can’t read the freshness date, poured into a pint glass. A: As you would expect from a APA, the nose is an enticing aroma of earthy and citrus hops, with a virtually undetectable malt backbone A: Pours a cloudy golden color with a small and quickly dissipating off-white head. T/P: Strong hop flavor that’s mostly just bitter, there is a tiny biscuit malt flavor in the background as well as a citrus flavor so faint that I may have just imagined it. O: Very little character or flavor, just a lot of hops that skip flavor and just make the beer bitter. Unspectacular in every way, disappointing in a word. Serving type: bottle

Bottle pour at Rocket City Brewfest. Grassy, slightly musty aroma, clear pale gold with a light head. First taste is of slightly bitter hops followed by a sweet malty flavor. Smooth, refreshing with a not unpleasant light bitter aftertaste.

12 oz bottle. BB 9/28/13. (Liquor Express) Huntsville, AL.
Clear pale golden colour with a small white head. Mild fruity hops, mild bitterness and malt in the aroma. The flavour is sweet, mild bitterness and sweet malt. Sweet. The label is nice.

On tap. Served very cold and the smell and taste were kind of soapy and not very pleasant. As the beer warmed, the taste got better with a very hop heavy presence. Pretty good once it warmed up, but not very tasty if it’s too cold.

12oz brown bottle. Golden with light haze. Average looking white cap. Nose has orange peel, lemon and a trace of spice. Taste has orange peel, and lemon and grapefruity hops. Good bitterness, grapefruit in the aftertaste and light malts. Light bodied, average carbonation. An easy drinker, simple and satisfying. Better than expected.

12USoz (355ml) bottle pours a dark golden color with a finger of white head that settles quite quickly leaving some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild with some caramel and citrus. Taste is quite fulfilling with a citrus hop bitterness with a nice balance of malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with decent carbonation. A decent brew for the style and recommended for a good tasting experience.

PorterPounder (8086) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Valdosta, Ga - Bad Habitz Bar & Grill - 12 oz bottle. Light golden pour, thin white head. Somewhat of a neutral aroma, perhaps a trace of fresh lake water. Crisp flavor with some light citrus, a bit of grassiness, a hint of spearmint. Crisp mouthfeel. Decent.

8/25/13. 12oz bottle at Bad Habitz thanks to PorterPounder! Clear golden pour with a small khaki head. Earthy, floral hop character in the aroma with some mild caramel. Floral hop flavor, lightly bitter, some caramel and a touch of metal. Not bad.

My buddy picked this up on his way back from Pensacola, FL. Pours clear copper color with medium foamy white head. Aroma real nice caramel citrus blend. Flavor light on palate but bit roasted and smoothness in middle helps balance sweetness up front with tad dry bitterness on back. Very drinkable and enjoyable.
