UPDATED: FEB 24, 2014 Pours a beautiful copper color. Aroma is buscuity malt and earthy, citrus hops. Smells wonderful. Flavor up front is mostly just a hop bite but allowing to warm a bit, a strong malt backbone is unleashed, presenting a great pale ale. I dont understand the low ratings. Great hop flavor, great malt flavor. Light bodied, easy drinking. Oily mouthfeel. Everything an APA should be, in my opinion.

Back Forty Naked Pig is an excellent pale with a little extra. Pours a hazy orange-yellow with frothy head. Aroma is peppery and tropical. Taste is tropical, peppery with a bit of funk -- just enough to make it interesting. Naked Pig might not be wearing any clothes but it certainly packs a surprise.

Hazy gold, with a ring of foam. Pretty standard, with a good deal of citrus and some caramel aromas. Taste might be a touch more sweet than the aroma indicates. Pretty quaffable.

12 oz. bottled 04/13/2016. Clear, orange-golden body supports a thin disc of foam. Aroma is bread, earthy honey and light evergreen resin. Tastes of husky toast, mineral water, resiny herb, toffee and sourish citrus. Some peach and/or honeydew melon in the finish. Near-medium bodied with a smooth, low-medium carbonation. Nice balance thats not as dry as many in the style.
