Bottle. Black with a small tan head that has fair retention. The aroma is faint with some chocolate malts. The taste is chocolate, mocha, vanilla earth and minerals. Palate is medium and uneven. Finished short and sweet. Overall: OK, but not great. Skyview (6076) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - SEP 5, 2016
Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood,, MN. Pours an opaque dark brown colored brew with a thin creamy beige head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of mostly mild coffee, a hint of vanilla with toasted dark malts. Taste is medium bodied with more toasted malt flavors with dark chocolate, and a hint of roasted coffee. Finish is semi-sweet, has a short coffee aftertaste that quickly disappears and leaves behind a toasted chocoalte malt and light vanilla aftertate. (Draught at brewery) deep black, creamy tan head. Nose of olive brine, old coffee, and roast. Taste of olives, salty, old coffee, touch of roast, soft carbonation, stale coffee finish and cardboard. Bpony (1) - - MAY 22, 2016 does not count
Nice stout. Medium dark roast aroma. Coffee and light chocolate notes. Dark brown, almost opaque. Nice creamy tan head with good retention. Slightly sweet. Dark roast with chocolate and light coffee. Medium bitterness. Very little hop flavor. Finishes moderately dry. Medium full bodied. Smooth. Light astringency in finish. Overall good stout but lacking a little in coffee aroma/flavor for a "coffee stout"

Extreme taste of strong freshly brewed Folgers whacks you in the face as soon as you sip this one. Its very much coffee but a cheap coffee. I like it. Its the beer equivalent of rolling out of bed at Holiday Inn, heading downstairs for the "continental breakfast" filling your fatty travel mug and hitting the road again. Solid brew.Would drink again
