COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This DIPA has huge citrus and tropical fruit notes. Late hop additions and a carefully crafted malt bill provide a nice balance.

Note: Formerly Backcountry Fix Your Heel Double IPA (v2.0).

Sample at GABF 10/08/2016, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. This brew is a clear bronze color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly. Stringy lace. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, fruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Almost clear orange pour with an off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is citrus zest, pine, toffee, and some spicy hop. Taste is citrus, pine, herbal, caramel, and toast. Taste is more malt forward than the nose would suggest. Medium body.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit and dank. Medium body, grapefruit, tangerine, resin finish, very good.

(Draught at brewery) clear light gold, lasting white bubbles. Nose of candied hops, subdued, clean nose, just not super fragrant. Taste is mildly bitter, citrus peel, creamy, light in body for the ABV, crisp finish. Doesn’t really remind me of a double ipa.

Concealer (1273) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 16, 2016
Bottle. Clear copper gold with a thin, foamy, off white head that lasts in a ring and laces. Aromas of mango, tangerine, pine, floral notes and light sweet malts. Flavor is the same, tropical fruit front, sweet malt with some bitter pine and floral notes. Medium bodied, smooth with a drying finish. Some heat on the end as well.

Tap at Brass Tap, Fort Worth. Pours honey, small white head. Aroma is pine, very very floral, and tangerine. Flavor is similar. Lots of pine, tangerine, again, floral, orange, maybe a spot of mango. Semi bitter finish. Good.

Cavie (4851) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 24, 2016
Tap at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color. Frothy carbonation. Citrusy hops on the nose. Strong hop flavor as well. Air bit of bitterness in the mouthfeel that leads to the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Faint hoppy aroma. Pretty light copper color with a white head. Medium weight. Bitterness was mellow but throughout. Slightly sweet undertones.

An aggressive hop in the aroma, & a little pale in the color. The flavor is good with my pops, no real citrus or floral notes mostly bittering hops.
