Poured at Backcountry on draft. Pours a red amber color with white head. Large amount of lacing. Has a sweet smell. Tastes sweet with hints of banana. Easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Draft at Tivoli Brewing Tap House simply as Backcountry Doppelbock, 7.8%, 18 IBU. Clear copper appearance with a lacy beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel/toffee, light chocolate and a touch of hops. Similar flavor, creamy, smooth and moderately sweet with soft carbonation, slightly thin on the palate. On tap at Wynkoop poured a clear amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, brown sugar and fruittiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, brown sugar and light fruittiness with a smooth carmely finish.
