Formerly known as Telemark IPA. Our GABF Gold Medal Winner has a very characteristic copper color from a blend of lightly kilned malts coupled with distinctive bitterness and flavor from Washington state‘s finest hops. This brew is a true Representation of a British Classic! We’ve changed the classification from an IPA to a Pale Ale because of the evolving hop profiles. When this recipe was originally created in 1996, it was an IPA, but now fits better in the Pale Ale category. The name has changed, but it is still the same great beer.

Gold pour lots of bubbles. Aroma simcoe, honey, malt. Tastes balanced, pine. mild hop in flavor but sturdy bitterness. biscuity bready malt takes up much of the flavor here.

Clear light copper goldenish with a thin foamy white head. Lovely nose thats a bit tropical and leafy and floral and juicy--lots of guava and melon and pine and passionfruit bitterness buttressed with some sweet juiciness and a bit of pale malt caramelliness. Full crisp flavor with some bready pale malt backbone, built upon with some crisp juicy tropical bitterness, leafy, piney, with some citrus tones and a little passionfruit and melon.

12 oz. bottle from Wilbur’s. Appearance: finger khaki head, orange/copper yellow color, clear, ok lacing. Aroma: floral, caramel, light lemon/orange. heavy pine. Palate: light body, less than average carbonation, light bitter finish, slightly sticky texture. Taste: light sweet floral taste, into sweet pine and finally light bitter pine. Overall, not very hoppy, pine really is heavy, but not unpleasant. Balance is just so so and nothing special.

On tap at The WoodCellar, served in a shaker pint. Light amber and clear appearance with a thin, lingering, frothy white head. Thick lacing and active carbonation. Aroma of fresh hops, pine, grass, herbs, citrus zest, light tropical fruits and toasted malts. Similar flavor, mild bitterness, mild sweetness, light notes of toffee and caramel. Average body, crisp and easy to drink. I like this one, probably the best beer I’ve tried from the brewery.

Ericular (1042) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 23, 2014
Clear gold with fading white head. Aroma is medium hops. Taste starts sweet, a little sour bitterness in the middle, but it works out OK. Medium bodied, watery palate.

UncleKorm (1337) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 14, 2014
On tap poured a clear golden hue w/ a medium mostly diminishing white head. Moderate hop aroma. Initial flavor is faint sweet w/ a bold bitter finish. Tastes are grass, herbal hop, and straw. Medium bodied, watery mouthfeel and lasting bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Westchesterco (2274) - mclean, Virginia, USA - FEB 11, 2014
On tap at the brewpub it is a clear light amber color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is a strong grapefruit flavor that lingers bitter on the palate
