Light and thin and never seems to come together as a beer, with the flavors. Has a nice pine cone hop nose, with some fruit lingering in their as well. Malt backbone is severely lacking and way too light, al most to the point of not being present at all. Just loses all character after the initial first dose of flavors. Had a few of these on tap at the brewpub in Frisco. Some good hops up front, but this is a bit thin and is lacking a good malt backbone. barleyPops (1142) - Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA - JUN 19, 2006
on tap at the brewpub. while this certainly had some of the piney IPA characteristics you would expect, it seemed a bit one dimensional, needs more malt backbone and body. BeerandBlues2 (13594) - Escondido, California, USA - JUN 18, 2006
Draught. Pours copper with a medium frothy-foamy white head, lasting, fomay lacing. Aroma is fragrant fruity and floral, grapefruit hops, caramel malt nose. Medium bitter piney and grapefruit hop flavor with some caramel malt sweetness. Medium bodied, smooth and dry palate. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 17, 2006
On tap at brewpub. Fist thing I wrote is soapy. Not usually a good thing...but still a decent IPA. Mild aroma hops aroma. Solid and drinkable, but nothing special.

Bomber poured a clear amber with a small lasting offwhite head. Aromas of pine, earthy hops and more hops. All I get in the nose is hops, like sniffing a big bag of fresh hops! Palate was light bodied. light carmel, pine, a touch of citrus and a bit of earthiness with a smooth lingering mildly bitter finish. May be 1 dimensional, but it’s my kind of dimension! tjthresh (1873) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - MAR 25, 2006
Poured a brilliantly clear darker amber or copper color with an eggshell white head on top. Not much lacing. Total Simcoe aroma. Pretty one dimensional beer. Seem like just a bunch of Simcoe hops and enough grain to ferment and make beer. Very thin and watery. Lifeless. waolsen (1376) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - MAR 5, 2006
Tap. Copper coloring just a little less than their amber. Hops, harbs, oak and grapefruit for the aroma. Instantly bitter. Fruit, hops, grass flavor with a small alcoholic bite. Not enough hops in my opinion but a nice choice crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - DEC 4, 2005
Bottle shared at the First Annual Florida Ratebeer Gathering.
These ratings were taken from one day of about 60 different tastings all were good and all have blended together but I know I thoroughly enjoyed every one of them and none were bad.

Relatively bright amber colour. Slightly piney, passionfruity with popcorn malt character. Slightly faded hops...oxidation gets a little metallic.
