Draft at the source. Light copper / amber body with a small khaki head. Mild aroma. The flavor brings raisins, sweet, dark fruits, a hint of chocolate. Medium sweetness and pretty light in body. Pretty good. DuchessOfIowa (161) - Iowa, USA - JUL 8, 2015
Poured out if a bottle. Nutty aroma with an odd smell. Deep mahogany brown with a white head that disappears quickly and not much lacing as I drink. Flavor has hints of soy sauce overtaking initial roasted notes. drowland (8888) - Georgia, USA - JAN 24, 2015
Keg at a wedding, June 2014. Orange amber pour with a small khaki head, mild lacing. Malty aroma, caramel, doughy, earthy, mildly floral. Okay flavor, malty, caramel, a bit of nuttiness, toasty. Not bad. Seems I got a good sample. weihenweizen (3984) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - DEC 16, 2014
Refrigerated 12 oz. bottle via queenholly. Dark amber with small off-white head. Aroma is nuts, medium body, low carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel, nuts, and some toast. Not my thing. Queenholly with another state tick. nuplastikk (6360) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 4, 2014
12oz bottle. Filtered bright (for the style) orange-amber body. Thin, patchy head. Odd oily caramel aroma. There are some mild infected garbage undertones going on. Otherwise a pretty straightforward almost amber lager...without the amber malt. Everything I’ve had from this brewery has been disappointing and this is no exception.

Draft - Toffee and toasted malts. Deep copper with a nice beige head. Toffee and toast. Well done. ellolovey (483) - Georgia, USA - AUG 6, 2014
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy cola brown with a thin fizzy off white head. Aroma of leather, caramel, and biscuits. Overly carbonated. Tingles the tongue. Pretty thin bodied. Caramel and biscuits give it a sweet and salty effect. Roasted malts are there subtly. Didn’t expect much so wasn’t really let down Ratman197 (15105) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of caramel, earthiness and light fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of caramel, earthiness and light cocoa with a smooth lingering caramel finish. arnold931 (1263) - Iowa, USA - JUL 25, 2014
Draft at Backpocket Brewery. Pours amber with small off white head. Nose and taste is caramel and bread. Maybe a little hop. A little too malty for me.
