Bottle. Bronze with a small head.Slightly sweet with some bitterness. Quite pleasant and wouldn’t offend anyone but not one I would seek out.

Bottle at home although had on cask previously. Not a huge bitter fan but this is good stuff. Poured copper brown with cream head. Nose is malt caramel. Taste is malt toffee light nut. Bitter finish. Tidy

Bottle from Cellar Door, Four Oaks. Pours dark amber, single finger white head. Aroma is nutty, with maltiness too. Taste of initial nuts, then malts come through, biscuit, bread, then a touch of orange peel and perhaps lemon too, biscuit come back on the end. Nice!

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark amber, thick off-white head. Aromas of light caramel and toffee, light herbal note. Taste has more herbal bitterness, toffee sweetness.

Cask at the Metropolitan Bar, JDW - London. Pours clear copper with a frothy white head. The nose has brown bread, mellow diacetyl, toffee. Medium sweet flavor with doughy brown bread, light caramel, low bitterness. Light-medium bodied with fine carbonation. Simple finish with notes of bread, dough, some buttery toffee. Simple but tasty.

Cask, The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Mucky golden brown with an off white foam. Aromas are earthy with hazelnuts and mellow lemon. Sticky toffee with Weetabix and spicy, herbal notes. Fairly medicinal with wood and cream. Flavours are toffee with bittersweet lemon and spicy, woody aspects. Dry black tea with blackberry and some autumn leaves. Pretty decent.
