Cask at JDW Briar Rose; clear amber pour with a big creamy head, malty aroma, tangy citrus hop taste with a hint of spice and caramel. Bitter finish.

BlackHaddock (7233) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2014
Hand-pulled pint in The George Hotel (a Spoons) Bewdley on 22nd Feb 2014. Good deep amber body with a full and lasting white crown. Looks like a malty brew but it has a hop lead in both the aroma and taste: dry feel to the mouth with nutty and woody notes within the flavour. I really enjoyed this and would have had another pint but I was on a mission and needed to try something else before hitting the towns brewery and more pubs.

Cask handpull at Crosse Keys Spoons. Clear mid brown lasting cream head. Its a strongish bitter. Some choc some hedgerow fruit. Earthy English hop aroma. Its fine. Even quite tasty.

Cask conditioned handpump Slug & Lettuce Leicester. An amber coloured beer with a white head and lacing. A good citrussy aroma with bitter oranges. Peachy citrussy flavours with a bit of warming malt. Great fruits. Really tasty and easy to drink.
