Dark amber color with small head. Nice caramel aroma and some hop; compared to Hobo, more caramelly; hint of crystal. Good body strength; semi-sweet caramel flavor, with good hopping, more aromatic, fruity and resiny than the Hobo.
Very good, balanced.

Bright amber color with medium sized compact head. The aroma is a nice blend of sweet caramel and orangey hops, with a peppery final. Good body strength; caramel flavor with moderate residual sweetness; it has a good component of biscuits/cookies; strong hopping, with pleasant resins and decent fruity touch; long final.
Dominant caramel, therefore more American Strong than the self defined Double IPA.
Good and clean beer.
Intensiv hopfiger Antrunk mit minimaler Säure. Angenehm fruchtig, dann würzig malzig, was auch den Nachgeschmack dominiert. Rund, süffig, gelungen. 12/12/12/12/12/12 mcberko (17832) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 12, 2015
330mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a deep dark amber / mahogany with a small off-white head. Nose brings out light resinous hops and some caramel - pretty light aromatics. Flavour is well-balanced between resinous hops and toffee-like sweet malt. I thought it would be too sweet based on the colour, but it’s actually quite nice. More of a strong ale than a double IPA, but whatever it is, it’s nice. TBone (17532) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 18, 2013
Dark nut brown color, good beige head. At first nice exotic fruity hoppyness, later a bit musty woodyness. Medium-bodied. Watery front for this ABV. Sweetish resiny and a bit plasticky flavor. Idea is ok but something is missing. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 6, 2013

Nice deep woody red, huge rocky head. Big fruity caramelly aroma. Smells like it might be sticky. Relatively mild palate, soft and smooth, carbonation quite refreshing. Tons of caramel in the taste. Absolutely classic US style sweet strong hoppy IPA. Tons of sweet aromatic hops, but a good level of bitter hops too. Maybe a little bit too sweet and sticky, but drinkability high. Alas some alcohol appears later as it warms. Still remains highly drinkable.
