It’s an IPA, India Pale Ale, amber colored and with a strong hoppy aroma.

A beer that’s been made for thirsty people, to be drank without too much thinking, to be enjoyed while strolling down the streets on warm evenings.

In brewing Hobo we used a big amount of rye (29 %) and 10 % wheat, plus five different kinds of malted barley. We decided to use hops from America and New Zealand: we used Nelson Sauvin during FWH and in whirlpooling, while in the next two additions we used Amarillo and Cascade.

33cl bottle from Drinks of the World, Winterthur. Pours reddish amber, glowing deep orange in the light, big foamy head. Fruity hop aroma. Taste is big prickly hop zest, fruity notes from the rye, moderately sweet character bordering on resiny. Flavoursome & tasty but probably not quite at its freshest. Still.. a very nice IPA.

No trace of hops. Dark amber. Lost a lot of taste because of time (hopefully). Tastes more like a low-end bière de garde than an IPA.

Bottle. Pours dirty brown with off white head. Nose and taste of pine, earthy dirt, old citrus and caramel. Medium body.

vipinvelp (4580) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2014
Clear amber color with small off white lacing foam head. Aroma is wheat, dough and some hoppy notes. Tastes not too bitter and strangly some chocolate present. Short aftertaste. (Madrid 201405)

330ml bottle. Hazy, reddish copper colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, pale ochre head. Fruity hoppy aroma, hints of grapefruit and red berries. Taste is fruity hoppy, hints of grapefruit and red berries, metallic finish.

aroma: hay, grassy blunt hops, appearance: too dark color, too hazy, frothy head taste: blunt and short lasting bitterness palate: too fizzy, abrupt watery finish, thin texture overall: too much rye malt, didn’t impress me like Le Trois Dames IPAs, Amarillo was much tastier in Armadillo Single Hop IPA from Polish Brewery Widawa. 330 bottle Drinks of The World Zurich

(funny little 33 cl bottle from Casa Evaristo; Bbd: December 20th 2014) Pours a dark copper with medium, tan head that has decent retention and leaves beautiful lacework. Decent regeneration too. Aroma is hopped and in a way where the hop smells like it came right out of the bag. That’s impressive. I think there’s some underlying toffee malts there as well. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium body and a soft, slightly sweet and fruity finish. Flavour has aroma notes and slight fruity sweetness, which compliments the hops well. Not an agressive IPA and with a very elegant and tasty malt profile far from being bonedry but also not vulgarly sweet and resiny. Would definitely drink again given the chance.

Botella 33cl. En el Lúpulo Feroz. Aroma muy escaso, al igual que su amargor y espuma. Como IPA no da la talla es muy mejorable (13/02/2014)

MrTipple (6952) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2014
Aroma: citrus hops, but not very strong, some light caramel malts. Appearance: dark hazy brown, quite foamy brown head. Taste: light bitter, bit sweet as well. Palate: dry, medium bitter, quite long, medium carbonation. Overall: OK IPA, missing the hops a bit. Bottle from Drinks of the World Zurich HB, Switzerland.
