The_Osprey (8454) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 24, 2017
Cotteridge Convention III – May 2017 - Bottle share at the damp marquee tasting. Big thanks to JMGreen for bringing this. As ’Zlej Blesk American Amber Lager’. Dark amber orange, foamy beige head, dotted lacing. Aroma is bretty, pissy, sweaty armpit, woody, elderflower, some lime. Pretty pissy. Body is light and frothy with soft to tingly carbonation. Taste is lime and mint, mojito, twiggy wood. Vibrant and interesting. I don’t know what this is meant to be...but I like it. Seems like I was in the minority. (3.6)

BlackHaddock (7515) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2017
20th May 2017; Cotteridge #3. We were all supposed to bring no more that 1.5 litres of beer. John (jmgreenuk) ignored that and brought 3 litres (4 x .75 litre bottles) plus numberous smaller ones. He is the reason I woke up on a train that had already left my station and I got home rather latter than planned! Anyway John, thanks for the .75 litre of this. Amber pour, decent white head. Leaning towards a grainy, slightly sweet lager, hops well hidden. No real aroma or defining taste.

The taste is soft, sweet, sugary, toasty grain, woody, leather, quite chewy, brown bread, cracker, spice, tang and some alcohol. Medium body and average carbonation. A bit too woody and chewy. Fair.
