I’m not much of a red ale fellow, but this was a pleasant surprise, with assertive dark cherry and chocolate aromas and flavors. Defied the genre and my expectations, as it had stout-like traits. Will definitely buy some more. Leixlip (16) - IRELAND - JUL 20, 2013
16oz pour from Bar/restaurant in Minneapolis.
Amber pour, not much head . Nice color and smell. Hoppy red ale with notes of pine , citrus and caramel . Reminds me a little of Surly Furious.
Nice flavor profile and body. I would buy this for sure if it was available in stores.
Great beer for summer , another great twin cities brewery to keep an eye on.

Nice hop heavy aroma! Very much lemon, and stone fruit! Nice palate and overall a great tasting first red! Put it on cask and shove more hops in it! crowderm (382) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 12, 2013
Deep ruby pour. Aroma of citrus, with hints of bread. The flavor takes it to another level, though. The citrus remains, but is matched by a great, chunky, roasty malt profile that is more ambitious and complex than what I’m used to seeing in most ryePAs. Maybe not as balanced as some others, but I like what they did here. Well done.

Dark amber color with a malty and hoppy aroma. Very easy drinker with lots of malt and a crisp hop bite. Very solid offering from new Bad Weather brewing. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Draft at Hurricane, Minnetonka. Sweet malt aroma. Dark amber color with slightly off white head. Nice hop profile for an amber. Quite good. mnmike (1086) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 21, 2013
On tap at Buffalo Tap. One of the better ambers I’ve had in awhile. Citrus is a good thing to have with this style in my opinion. valpoaj (745) - Valparaiso, Indiana, USA - JUL 30, 2013
Pint at Happy Gnome - pour is reddish brown, but relatively light in color...medium whitish head. Aroma is sweet and lightly hopped - a slight note of roasted nuts in the background as well. Flavor is quite tasty...sweet, caramely malts are accented by mild, but notable resinous hops. Palate is easy drinking (granted, I had a number of higher ABV beers before this one) - I would happily quaff another in the future! deyholla (12037) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 20, 2014
On tap. Pours a clear amber with an orange hue and a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma combines sweet grain with a bit of citrus and just a hint of light pine. Flavor has lots of sweet bread and grain notes up front but adds the bitterness of light pine and citrus in the finish.
