COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship year-round release WINDVANE stands strong through all types of weather and is a great fit for all seasons. Pouring a deep brilliant red, this is your go-to beer. If you want something hoppy, you definitely have it. American hops give WINDVANE a swift bitterness with piney, citrus and resinous flavors. If you want something with strong malt shoulders, you have that too. Roast malt layers add complexity and keeps the beer dry to showcase the hops.

undsioux7 (872) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - APR 11, 2013
UPDATED: APR 14, 2015 Pours a deep amber brown with a pillowy tan head that sticks around. Nice lacing. Citrus nose with a bit of bready malt coming through. Nice pine and grapefruit upfront with a touch of bitterness and malt finish. Thin carbonation is the only thing that distracts the mouthfeel. Really nice for an amber. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Emmetts in St paul with commonmac. Bumped pint glass. Dark red brown with medium white head. Smells of bready malt. Taste is sweet, malt, and off grain. Sweet bread, then a clumsy finish. Not great.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2016 On tap at Emmett?s Public House with the commonshawn. Bumped pint. Darker amber nearing brown rust. Nose is primarily notes of hops...floral and a hint of citrus. Taste hits you with a malty sweetness and bready quality first before parting for a mild pine hoppy finish. Sweet then bitter. Feels a little like a piece of sweetened bread both in mouthfeel and taste. Unspectacular but this style doesn?t have the highest of ceilings. Forecast is mediocrity.

Pours deep reddish amber with thin tan head. Lots of pine and some citrus, very hoppy, with a hint of malts for balance. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

islay (2634) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 25, 2015
12 oz. bottle, consumed on 5-18-15. Tons of long-lasting, taupe head; way too much head. Produces extensive lacing. Pours a clear amber. Highly effervescent. Dry aroma features toffee and chlorine scents. Caramel and spice flavors. Tastes like a baked good with good Christmas-like spices. Yeasty and toast-like in aroma and flavor. Soft in the palate. Smells good and tastes good but pulled down by overcarbonation, unfortunately.

On tap. Pours a clear amber with an orange hue and a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma combines sweet grain with a bit of citrus and just a hint of light pine. Flavor has lots of sweet bread and grain notes up front but adds the bitterness of light pine and citrus in the finish.

Strong, flavorful amber ale with lots of great hops (apricot, pine, honey) and malt (coffee, caramel, roasted nuts). Medium weight and finish.

8/20/14 on tap in shaker glass at Pizza Luce Uptown. Aroma is soft roasted malt and sweet citrus. As glass warms aroma becomes more pronounced and becomes hoppy 1/2 way through. Color is gorgeous caramel bronze. There is a lot flavor-wize happening here. Both roasted malt and hops evident. Brewery states this beer will appeal to hop heads and malt heads. I agree. Hops become more pronounced as the glass warms. This is a full flavored beer. It is a good, not great, beer but I would order another. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
