An excellent surprise, a wonderfully complex beer, bottle says " tipo double red" I would have said belgian quadruple or barley wine. Roasted malts, dry fruits, caramel, toffee with some sweetness. Great, best beer by far during my holiday in Brazil.

Belo corpo, com espuma bege consistente, paladar agradável, aroma não é marcante e vale a pena harmoniza bem com petiscos gordurosos e refeições mais pesadas

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2016 500ml served in a regular glass. A: Pours a reddish amber colour forming a medium, bubbled and aired yellow head. Medium retention and lots of lingering lacings formed and left in the glass. A small layer remains forever on the top. S: Sweet and malty in the nose. Toffee, caramel malts, crystal malts and candy sugar. Strong notes of dark fruits and dry dark fruits. Raisins, plums and date fruits. Notes of buttery dyacetil and citrus hops in the end T: Sweet upfront. Strong notes of toffee, caramel malts, crystal malts, roasted malts. Dry dark fruits: raisins, plums and dates. Bready yeasts. Nice citrus hops bitterness in the end M: Heavy and molasses body. Medium carbonation. Sweet and crispy aftertaste O: Good drinkability. One of the best Brazilian brews for sure [ BA Review @ 10/30/2009 ]

Formou um bom creme denso e bege. Bela cor rubi um pouco turva. Aroma de malte torrado, um pouco doce, pungente. Algo de caramelo. Álcool bastante presente. No sabor, bastante lúpulo e malte torrado. Complexo.

Buongiorgio00 (934) - - AUG 10, 2014
Very strong beer, malty, with caramel notes and an intense alcoholic presence. Non exceptional but not even bad.

ogivlado (7764) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 10, 2014
Bottled 600ml. -from big Carrefour in Sorocaba, Brazil. Clear amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, malt and whiff of alcohol in the nose. Sweet toasted malt, caramel and dried fruits with pretty strong alcohol presence. Also noticable alcohol in rather sweet finish. Not bad at all.

dwyerpg (6054) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUN 25, 2014
Undoubtedly one of the best Brazilian beers of the whole trip. A strong hop presence but also tons of caramel malts. Thankfully there’s enough hops that it isn’t sweet. Great stuff.

Cerveja Double Red, 9,2% álcool, encorpada, sabor marcante de maltês torrados, amargor persistente. Excelente para dias frios.
