The West Country’s rich soil provides fertile growing conditions for apples, and we use vintage varieties such as Dabinett and Redstreak from a single harvest to make this rustic, medium dry cider. Its oaky, wood-infused notes are created by maturing the cider in oak vats - hence the name, Applewood - scrumptious to the core!

It is yellow-golden and the aroma has a lot of nice apple, ovenbaked apple, apple juice and wood. The flavour has sweetness and notes of slightly sour, dry apple, wood, ovenbaked apple and it is very pleasant, harmonic and nice to drink.

Bottle, bought @ Kolding Vinhandel.
Pours golden with lots of bubbles. A small, fizzy, white head. Aroma has a bit of fart, apples, light woodiness and pretty sweet. High carbonation, very lively and quite dry. Flavour has light apple. Seems rather weak, but never artificial. Lots of wood in the finish with some tarty notes.

trapez (1563) - Hilleroed, DENMARK - DEC 31, 2008
Bottle. Aroma with apple, some yeast and just a hint of wood (oak). Beautiful cleay light yellow colour. Rather bitter and dry flavour. The bitterness stays for long. Rich carbonation.

faroeviking (10910) - FAROE ISLANDS - DEC 29, 2008
Botella. Clear nice deep golden colour. Aroma of fresh apples, mild sweetness and a light woody touch. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a pleasant soft sweetness with fresh apples, some wood and a light spiced touch. Nice indeed.

hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2008
Gold. Quite a pleasant aroma with sweetness and a little acidity. Not difficult to predict the taste though: fairly predictable commercial cider, a bit watery. Some slight oaky dryness but not enough. Quite enjoyed the 6%.
