Previously called Golden Champion Ale
The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summers evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled. On a balmy evening in Stanpit Marsh, a cool breeze blows and a calm encompasses the vast reserve. Amongst the wild horses, you may see Golden Champion, a headstrong but loyal stallion who enjoys the warm days grazing in th fields. The subtle elderflower aromas of this delicately floral brew are reminiscent of a summers evening. This divine all-rounder is a great companion for smoky, chargrilled chicken and peppery rocket salad.

Ale with a nice scent of flowers and malt. It smells really like an exuberant flower garden in full bloom. The taste is comfortable malty but soon takes over a fresh floral flavors, light hop bitterness and finally a great glorious taste of elderflower. Other attempts to create a mild ale on elderflower ends sometimes in a slightly synthetic taste, but this ale is truly "the real thing".

Beautiful promising label. Thats it. Well. I was disappointed. A very bland bitter with shallow aroma, some shy notes of hops and real ale, but mostly just water. Nah...

Tastes a bit hoppy but tastes so much better than some of the Badgers that I've tasted today. I'm hoping I'm on the upward trajectory with the beers. I'll let you know on the next one ... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home picked up from Saintsburys. Clear golden coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma pale golden malts, little floral lemon, little spicy note. Flavour is composed of light grains, light caramel, grain tanin. Little spicy peppercorn, hedgerow. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Decent enough.

50 cl clear ottle from a GDO retailer at around 2.70. Dark golden to light amber/tangerine color, creamy white head. Flowery nose. Aroma is, uh, weird, very floral with elderflower and geranium, lemongrass, peach tea. I gues this is anti-mosquitoes. Taste is flattish, sweetish, slightly bitter in the finis. Body is thin, low carbonation. Finish is a tad dryish, floral, perfume. Out of the ordinary, ok for summer.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy light amber with medium white head. Aroma is malt, hay, lemon peel, biscuits and roasted hazelnuts. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is oily with medium carbonation. Finish is long and balanced bitter and sweet with notes of lemon, malt, rye bread and hints of iron. Nice pub beer.

Clear skunk bottle, tesco, 0.5L. Pours pale amber with little translucency and a light head subsiding quickly. Scent is medium body cereal malt, very pretty. Taste is full bodied cereal malt and medium sweet. Finish is moist and dense. Surprisingly good.

500ml bottle. Clear gold/orange with a few small soapy bubbles for head. Aroma is very floral, hoppy and weak malts. Really nice sweet taste. Peaches, floral, melon with a slightly hoppy finish. Shows that a beer can taste sweet and still be nice unlike kestrel super...
