Previously called Golden Champion Ale
The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summer’s evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled. On a balmy evening in Stanpit Marsh, a cool breeze blows and a calm encompasses the vast reserve. Amongst the wild horses, you may see Golden Champion, a headstrong but loyal stallion who enjoys the warm days grazing in th fields. The subtle elderflower aromas of this delicately floral brew are reminiscent of a summer’s evening. This divine all-rounder is a great companion for smoky, chargrilled chicken and peppery rocket salad.

Just how I like my beer. Taste, appearance and aroma excellent. Lovelly on the palate too. It’s just lacking that little something though. Look forward to tasting more from Badger I will.

Bottle. Poured deep amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hop, citrus and notes of light elderflower. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. One of H&W better ones.

Bottle from Waitrose. Another Badger beer that smells of butterscotch immediately on opening. A bit closer and it's sugar puffs. Yeah, breakfast cereal on the taste too. A bit strong for the style and as a consequence it's a touch sweeter, but that could be absence of hops.

Bottle from Asda, Washington. Golden coloured with a thin white head. It has a sweet herbal and tropical fruit flavour with peppery hops, peach, elderflower and herbs on the dry finish. Good.

500ml bottle. Pours golden with a fluffy white head. Medium carbonation. Nose is floral, elderflower, lavender, straw, honey, light malt and orange. Decent medium mouth feel. Very floral in the taste, definitely get some lavender or parma violet. Elderflower is noticeable too, quite sweet honey like malt taste and finishes lightly bitter with a slight orange peel. Much better than expected, another beer I've been put off trying because of the clear bottle.

Bottle. Golden with copper color. Aroma: fruity with hops, earthy and floral. Taste: sweetish-fruity, mild earthy hop bitterness.

Small head with a clear light amber colour. Melon and peach dominate, held in check with a good bitter balance. Great beer!

Mild aroma, a little sweet and hoppy, full bodied. Highly recommend to try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear deep golden colour. Small creamy white head. Average retention. The aroma is different and rather interesting: fairly peppery, spicy and floral (may be the announced elderflower) with biscuity malts along. Light to medium body. Taste: light sweet biscuity front, hoppier mid with notable spiciness. The ending is moderately spicy / peppery. Supporting light bitterness. Not bad at all. I would only ask for a reasonable finishing hop kick.

En frisk sommerøl, der smager af hinning og blomster. En god tør humle i eftersmagen, den er bedst kold, og så er det også til gengæld en rigtig god øl
