Dark amber colour, slight dark orange colour, mediumsized white head. Lots of caramel, fudge along with some hints of wood and sweet fruits. The same goes for both aroma and flavour. Quite nice brew. Aftertaste leaves a nice touch of caramel and flowery hops.
Cask conditioned at The Masons Arms, Marylebone, London. Red brown beer with off white head. A fuller flavoured winter brew for a change, fruity and warming with a touch of hazelnut flavour around. Malty rich but unfortunately a little cloying sweetness too. Still reasonable beer in a very nice pub, good stuff. Christian (13930) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2007
Cask/GBBF. Dark copper beer with a small white head. Perfumed fruity aroma, figs among other things. Sweet and fruity flavour. larsga (7679) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 19, 2007
Medium creamy offwhite lasting head with a coarse surface. Amber body. Sweet fruity aroma with floral hop notes, quite rich. Sweet mild earthy stale fruity taste with tea notes. Flat, and a bit off. Dry musty wooden malty aftertaste. Tastes like it’s not entirely right; should rerate. (0.5pt cask at the Prince Edward.)

On cask at @Prince Edwars in Bayswater. Deep dark black colour with steady head and medium body. Nose of malt. Taste of malt as well, but also dark grains, nuts, apples and rosmary. Easy to drink but quite bitter finish. KnutAlbert (6798) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 5, 2008
Cask at St Stephens, Westminster.
Id classify this as a winter warmer. Full of rich malty goodness.
Christmas pudding dark and dried fruit.
Some bitter hoppiness in the tail balances it quite well. berkshirejohn (6770) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2008
Cask at Peacocks Farm, Bracknell. Dark chestnut with an off-white head; fruity apple aroma; nutty malt flavour; prolonged hoppy bitter finish. Nice, but not outstanding.
