COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

330ml bottle at Blå Rock Café. Pours an off-white head with fine retention and lacing. Hazy orange coloured body. Grassy hops on the nose, hints of citrus. Hop fruity flavours of pine and lemon, mild malty sweetness beneath. Long-lived dry bitter ending. Medium boded. Pleasant (Tromsø 16.01.2015).

Dark hazy orange brown beer, off white head. Fresh mild inviting resiny citrusy breeze. Tastes roasted malts, rubber dust, resin, hops, apple peels, grapefruit - leading to a half dry smoky finish. Fresh mouthfeel. Fresh tasty brew. [33ml btl fitted into a big snifter@Blå Rock Café AS]

Bottle at Blå Rock Café Tromsø. Medium high creamy off-white lasting head. Hazy milky dark amber body. Orange lemon aroma. Highly carbonated bitter sweet grassy fruity flavor with a fair amojnt of hops bitterness. Alcohol level feels just right. Long finish.

Foffern (1927) - Bodø, NORWAY - DEC 27, 2014
Bottle at Kaptein Larsen, Bodø. Has a slightly hazy orange color and a creamy beige colored foam head. Fruity hops tones in the aroma but maybe a bit cautious to an IPA to be. Still there’s grass, pine needles and some citrus. The flavour has more hops but more grass-like. There’s still room for grapefruit, more pine needles and grains. Mouth feel is where it should be; smooth and soft. The bitterness leans against a powerful level, but acting tamed and balanced. This is an IPA where the hop Nelson Sauvin emerges through both taste and aroma. This is probably not my favorite hop, and for me the beer is a bit unbalanced and one-dimensional. Yet this is really a fresh IPA, and perfect for hop heads that like Nelson Sauvin.
