COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Batch #50, brewed in cooperation with local homebrewer champion Erlann Eldorsen.

Dark amber, quite dark in glass, huge light tanned head. Smell of smoked malts, some fruity elements, nice malts. Moderate sweet, nice smoky flavor, hints of bacon, fruity malts, dark fruits. Moderate bitter finish. All in all nice stuff; i usually like the smoked ones

Holmen1 (6009) - Stavanger, NORWAY - AUG 25, 2016

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 25.08.18. Chestnut brown. Persistent brown head and lacing. Taste of medium dark malt, dark syrup and soft smoke. Similar taste, with some hop. Well-balanced and very drinkable. Fizzy mouthfeel.

Bottle 330ml @ Patricks Pub og Restaurant, Kristiansand
Pours hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, smoke, bacon, grass and fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel, fruity, smoke and meat finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, at Patrick’s. It produces a lot of light beige foam over a lightly hazy light brown body. Lacing. The aroma is a bit weak I think, with dark caramel, some roasted malts, a hint of ham and bonfire and some citrus hints. The flavor is likewise, weak, with a fine bitterness. Full to medium body and a bit heavy carbonation, semi dry. Long finish with more bitterness than smoke. Drinkable and flawless, but too heavy on the carbonation and lacking on smoke. In my opinion. 160407

Bottled. Lovely smoky aroma, quite sweet, complex. Smoke, yes, but not sour Campfire. Marlboro finish.

16.01.2016, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Soft gusher. Huge fizzy longlasting head. Aroma is co2 stinging in the nose, minerals, smoked malts, grass, weeds, paper, unripe banana, caramel. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, paper, alcohol, smoked malts, grass, caramel, nuts. Medium bitterness, sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel, very fizzy carbonation. Drainpour, this must be infected...
