Alright hops in the taste, little bit of Malt, too. Bit chemically. Not much in the aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours mid gold with a thin head. Body is light and carbonation is refreshing. For a small brewery pale ale, aromas were quite light and flavours were simple. Nicely balanced but a bit plain.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow, low head. Grainy marzipan aroma. Medium light body. Tastes like a mazarin cake, light hop aromatics in the finish. It has a distinctive flavour, that is for sure - Im just not sure that is what I am looking for in a pale ale - more in a triple maybe.

330mL bottle from Beer Cartel. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold body, small white head. Doesnt offer a great deal on the nose - toasty malts, slight marmalade-y citrus, earthy hop note. Medium bodied, some chewiness about it, moderate carbonation. Opens out a bit more on the body - nice toasty malt, typically earthy, spicy British hops. Relatively low bitterness to finish. Easy drinking, dont mind it.

A flat head and an orange glow. Sweet and sticky with a bit of home brew in there. Funky and manky.

Bottle. English style pale ales are not really my thing. Lager like smell and flavour but with just enough hop character to keep me happy enough to finish the bottle

After searching for a beer with abit of flavor I settled on Badlands Pale Ale. I use to drink Coopers Green and altho I like to support local Aussie companies, I became bored with it. This is now my beer of choice. The initial flavor can be alittle unexpected but the after taste is great and the mix of flavors is vibrant. I like to describe the experience akin to drinking a fresh cola compared to flat. At last a beer with full flavor. I must admit that Im abit surprised and disappointed by many of the ratings but hell.. no skin off my nose - I love it! And I take it along to parties and friends to see their reaction, not a bad one yet. Ive also tried their IPA - bit ruffer but nice, recommend you try a couple of Pale Ales before you start on the Dark Ale but upto you.

Bottle 33 cl from Oak Barrel, Sydney, on July 17, 2013.
Clear golden color, big fluffy off-white head. Malty, sweet, grainy scent, a slight bit herbal. Hoppy, sweet, sugary, malty, grainy taste. Weak mouthfeel, medium high dry grainy bitterness.

Pours an orange colour. Aroma is some malt, hints of fruit and something that, for some reason, resembled corn. Taste is pretty light on most things with little bitterness. Pretty watery. Wasnt too impressed at all.
