Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slightly hazy gold with 2 fingers of head. Biscuit malty nose with honey and some peach notes. Fairly one-dimensional but still really enjoyable. More honey as it warms. Finish is sweet and malty. Nice enough for the style. I enjoyed this. jbeatty (1253) - New York, USA - APR 11, 2015
UPDATED: APR 18, 2015 Bottle, thanks to TimE, 04/11/2015. Pours a cloudy golden orange, thin white head fades quickly. Aroma of soft bready malts and dry straw, mild honey notes and faint fruit. Taste is sweet cereal grains with toasted bread, spicy herbal hops. Light medium body, nice carbonation. Decent brew. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 24, 2014
Bottle. Helles malt and softness, light grassy hops but the extra booze gives it a bit of a creamy feel somehow. Light funkiness which I like. Not sure if it is supposed to be there. Honey and fruit. I like it. KansaiBeerLvrs (5192) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 4, 2013
This bottle was brewed on my birthday which was a nice surprise. 6.5% bottle from the brewery via Rakuten. Anniversary 3-pack. It pours a dark gold with a quickly dissipating head. Nice sweet malt aroma. Rich thick malty sweet body, kind of one dimensional but good. Dry mild bitter finish. Reminds me of a golden ale I had yesterday... but it is better. faroeviking (10988) - Citizen above universe pendejo, FAROE ISLANDS - MAY 14, 2013

Bottled. Lightly hazy golden, small head. Aroma of bread and butter. Sweet and soft, medium to full bodied with solid malt backbone. Perhaps overly sweet, but packed with good alt flavours. Fruity with notes of wheat malt. Low bitterness. TEJA (3103) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 22, 2009
Big white head. Sweet malty arom with some wheat caractair. Taste is malty with a big body and a litle warming alcohol. A realy good bock. KyotoLefty (10311) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 30, 2009
Tap at Q-Brick.
Fruity malt aroma with peaches, oranges, and honey. Rich malt flavor, with the same fruits as in the nose. Hoppy, with a rather bitter finish. Nice contrast between hops and fruits; good balance. Pleasant and flavorful, but nothing at all like a traditional maibock. Tastes like a strong blonde ale.

My Bottom Line:TimE (5953) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JUN 25, 2007
This Heller Bock is able to offer as much fruity honey sweetness as grassy hop bitterness, all in a crisp and delicate vehicle. Another good German-style creation from Baeren!
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the hazy honeyed blond.
-Sweet cereals are cooked up into a spicy bread.
-Hops are also herbal and quite authentic.
-The soft effervescence pushes all flavors onwards.
-Alcohol is not a factor in the flavor profile.
Bottle; thx Tim!
UPDATED: APR 11, 2013 I looked at the ratings before, I had this beer and didn’t have much expectations. WOW, nice surprise to say the least. Deep golden color with a fruity nose of apricots, strawberries. Fully body of apricots, strawberries and oranges. Rich malty finish with a lingering orange taste.
Tried six years after the original rating and it isn’t quit as good as what it once was. Still not a bad brew, but just above average and lacking depth.
