A very hoppy red and winter ale, probably not the best balancing, body is very nice with matls and spice notes. bdleedahl (713) - , Saskatchewan, CANADA - OCT 8, 2017
Far too bitter and astringent. Not enough body, just okay, I wouldn't drink it again. Baelic portland

Deep. cool, spicy nose, with dark fruit and candi sugar. Very dark reddish-amber color. Medium-strength sweet dark fruit, berries, rich and herbal in mid palate. Balances somewhat near finish. slowrunner77 (13591) - Reno, Nevada, USA - FEB 15, 2017
Sticky pine aroma and flavor up front. Moderately bitter and medium to full bodied with a light spice along with the bitterness and hearty malt backbone. Ratman197 (15866) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - DEC 24, 2016
Bomber poured a clear dark reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of toffee, roastiness, pine, light dankness and light grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of toffee, tobacco, earthiness and a hint of pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

[2/25/15] Draught at Baerlic Brewing in Portland. Dark amber with a beige head. Aroma of caramelly malt and piney hops. Sweetish malty and caramelly flavor with piney hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Ferris (17909) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2015
Draft - Caramel and hop bitterness. Cloudy brown with a decent white head. Caramel, twig and a hoppy bitter finish. Bit perfumy as well. mcberko (20442) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2015
On tap at Baerlic, pours a hazy dark red with a small off-white head. Aroma is fairly subtle, with red fruits and spicy citrus hops - pretty restrained on the nose though. Flavour is well-balanced, with dry caramel malts and a decent citrus hop backing. Crafted well - the hops and malt are blended cohesively. Good stuff. vyvvy (6988) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 1, 2015
On tap at the brewpub - Pours reddish brown with an off-white head. The aroma has heavy fruits, thick toasty malt and caramel. The flavor starts with berries, caramel malt and some astringency. The finish gets more hoppy. Good red ale, but those generally don’t grab me too much.
