Keg at Evening Star Brighton. It pours hazy orange - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, fresh, zesty citrus, grapefruit, papaya, peach, biscuit and white grape. The taste is dry, very bitter, pine, resinous, grapefruit, pithy, peppery spice, grass, biscuit and some alcohol on the back-end with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit boozy and dry. A fair IPA, but no game-changer.

Draft pour on tap at Toronado SF (San Francisco, CA). POURS a deeper fiery orange copper hue, mellow lacing, subtle haziness in the body with a frothy off white head atop. Decent retention and lacing. Aromas are a healthy melded essence of citrus and bitter floral hops, bready malt and that sticky caramel appeal comes in behind. A bit of pithy rind, florals, sweetness meld well. Initial is a bit of girth in the body, firm potent bitterness, sweet oranges and citrus fruit. A touch of body and sweetness hang on, but this one really pushes a potent bitterness. Floral, woody, a bit pithy. Some staleness, age, a bit of carmelized appeal. Perhaps a bit old but really pushing a bitter agenda despite the bit of staleness. A carmelized and biscuity touch, big floral bite, pine, and soapy bitter finish presses on well. Solid stuff, a bit sweeter and fuller than I generally like to see IPAs get nowadays. Fuller, impress pour, a touch sweet nose but solid flavors and flow. A touch sweet and sticky for the times though.
