On draft at Tap 25. It pours a very clear orange/gold color with an off white head. The aroma is very bready. Fresh bread. Maybe a hint of berry-like fruit. The flavor has some dense bread crust with a full mouthfeel, yet a dry, almost wood-like finish. Solid floral, spicy, piney hop bitterness. A decent rye pale ale. Draft at the brewpub. Amber-hued. Big, perfumed aroma. This is quite floral all-around, with a "slippery" mouthfeel, however silly that sounds. There’s also a warming burn. Quite good. (#6128, 2/14/2016)

an ok rye pale ale. bitter, but not quite as floral or spicy as i like this style to be. just ok. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 12, 2015
On tap @ Bagby. Clear amber pour with a white head. Really woody and herbal hop aromas. Some grass, lots of toasted grain, and some caramel. A touch funky and earthy, too. Kind of mushroomy. Flavor is quite bitter and chalky. Really heavy on the wood and earthy hops. Almost like wet dirt on the finish. Not terribly enjoyable. Tap@ Bagby. Clear amber color with ivory head. Grainy caramel, rye spice, toast aromas. Chewy mouthfeel. Toasted rye bread malty flavors with some caramel---light earthy bitterness to finish___good. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 28, 2014
Taster at Bagby, $2, clear orange amber, good webby lacing. Nose is sticky citrus hops, traditional C hops. Taste is aggressively bitter, sharp, resin, pine sap. Medium high body. No off flavors. High bitterness. Somewhat sticky and soapy. A tad outdated hop and palate profile.
