A very pretty amber. Toasted, breads malt. Malt oriented. Not a lot going on but it is a good pub style ale. Dogbrick (13012) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 2, 2016
Sample at the tap room. Clear amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Malt, caramel and slight hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. mcberko (17840) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 30, 2015
On tap at Bainbridge Island, pours a hazy amber with a small near-white head. Nose brings out toasted bready notes - not much else. Flavour is quite bland, with toasted bready and cereal notes. It has a rather minerally finish. Okay. Ferris (15275) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 28, 2015
Draft - Light caramel and a touch of twig. Clear copper with a decent white head. Tastes as it smells. Boring but good to style. tcon25 (848) - Duvall, Washington, USA - JAN 26, 2015
Draft pour at Indigo, amber pour, some hop aroma, sweet smooth taste. Solid beer have to try more.

On tap at Bainbridge Island. Pours an amber color with white head. Minimal malty aromas. Caramel, malty, bread flavors. Not much going on. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUL 5, 2014
On tap @ Bainbridge Island, shared with jcnielsen. Pours a dark copper appearance with a white head. Herbal, caramel, grassy aroma. A bit on the sweet side. Somewhat toasty, light pear, a touch piney flavor. Slightly goopy. OK. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Draught into a growler at SB. Pours a clear dark amber color with a very small head on it. Nose has a bit of caramel and toast in there, but is mostly bread dominant. Taste is a nice mix of toastiness and bitterness, and makes for a light easy drink. Better than I expected, I’ll admit. Hanuta06 (469) - Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2014
Serving: sampler from tap at Bainbridge Island Brewing Taproom. (When I tried this beer--January 2013--the style had been changed to an American Amber; no longer an Altbier)
Aroma: light malt.
Appearance: small, off-white, initial head with excellent lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-amber body.
Taste: lightly sweet initial flavor and lightly sweet, caramel finish with average duration.
Palate: medium-full body with oily texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: pretty good.
