Sample at the tap room. Brown-black pour with a medium thin light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, coffee and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of burnt malt, bittersweet chocolate and coffee. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall. Dark black, slight head. Nice roasty nose, more characteristic of a porter than a Baltic porter. Similarly, while the body is roasty with a decent hoppiness, this straddles the stylistic lines of porter/Cascadian Dark Ale moreso that it does Baltic Porter. A solid porter.
