3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
hazy burnt orange with a soft head and drippy lacing.
a= some dank hops, earthy, some umami, citrus-ish, caramel, a little dusty, grassy, tea-like floral notes way in the back, oj and maybe some mild pine.
some alcohol is noted...quite a bit actually... additional flavors of peachiness, melon business, caramel, pine, oj, earthy tea notes and spicy notes on the finish. bitterness keeps it drinkable since the medium palate gets a little syrupy. dece. 7/4/7/3/16
I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Second edition, 2015. Unique herbal aroma and taste...with fine IPA bitterness. Alcohol evident. Clear dark Amber color. jflopsu (1703) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 27, 2015
Drank in 2015 and aged from 2011. Pours a clear gold. Has a very strong green tea and sugar taste. An incredible strong green tea taste with citrus hops. A slight lingering bitter taste with sweet citrus. raoul_duke (240) - - FEB 21, 2015
2nd edition from a bomber. They call this one 10.1% abv. Yellow orange straw color with a moderate head. Not too much carbonation. Rice on the nose and some of the green tea as well. For a double, this is very smooth. Definitely taste the ipa. I am pleasantly surprised.

sweetness (candi sugar) but the malt definitely makes it’s presence known and balances the beer well. the green tea comes in as an herbal smell, a little more obvious in the flavor as it warms...and the mix of hops used (especially the sorachi ace) is unique and blend well together. nice brew. you can definitely taste the baird and stone influences clearly." vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - AUG 8, 2014

Bottle gift from SJ. Nice notes of citrus, grass, grapefruit, earth, lime and caramel malt. Somewhat refreshing. A bit bold, I liked it.

A pretty unasuming bottle but I guess when you are Stone and you are releasing an IPA, it better deliver...and this one does. The green tea really doesn’t come out until it hits the palate and it’s really nice. The beer pours out a light amber color, tons of floaties/particles in my beer with an initial 2" off-white head. Aroma has a kind of light alcoholic aroma, perfumy, beet sugar thing going on with a really light hop aroma. The flavor comes out though with both barrels blasting. A really nice combo of green tea and piney/sappy hops. The green tea really suprised me on how assertive it was against the hops. Carbonation is medium, mouthfeel is medium. When the carbonation lightens up a bit, the green tea really comes out a little more. Really a nice beer. PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - NOV 18, 2013
