(Notes from 11 Jan 2013) After a delicious meal of BBQ Pork with mustard sauce and pickles on the side, I needed a few glasses of water to cleanse the palate. A bit "gun shy" from my last beer, this didn’t disappoint. Grapefruit peel hops, a hint of cocoa, dark brown with a big rocky head, nice feel with a good balance of hops, sweetness and a touch of coffee grounds, nice comeback Baird! shoulderbroken (4256) - Tokyo, JAPAN - FEB 1, 2013
Tap at Bashamichi. Dark brown, brown gold bubbly head. Aroma is sharp citrus hops, roasty, pine. Taste is nice, roasty, bit creamy, some bitterness. Pretty nice. KyotoLefty (10688) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 28, 2013
Draught at Bashamichi. They call it a Black Belgian IPA. Pitch black with a high, foamy, tight tan head. Fragrant nose, citrus hop, grass, chocolate, licorice, coffee. Nice. Good hop flavors, really well balanced, coffee and chocolate come through but not overwhelming. Nicely bitter finish. Full, smooth body. Excellent stuff.

Tap for Bashamichi second anniversary. Some nice PNW hops on the nose with some chocolate malt. Smooth body, well rounded with the chocolate and some nice hop action. Slightly subdued, but came in to it’s own more so as it warmed.
