Pulled from the seasonal fridge at the brewery. Amber body and off white head. Nose of light oranges and caramel, beauty! Amazing taste, this one is really sticking out as one of my Baird favourites. Sweet orange and the slightly bitter grasses, chocolate finish - but not as bitter as most. Palate not overly rich which makes this very drinkable, smooth as well. Chadsan, beerislikeinbottlegivenmeskoduzo. I dlink this bleer and find not much confusion. Clazy bottre all celamic. Not much sex. Disappoint! I enjoy! Happiy Happy! lb4lb (2587) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 13, 2009
Bottle left in our home from aceofhearts. Thanks for forgetting this beer! Pours amber with a short lived beige head. Smell is a bit toasty, sweet and malty with an unusual note in there. Taste is slightly sweet and toasty with a syrupy flavor, but not cloying and is reasonably balanced. Thin to medium body. Decent enough and not too much worse for the wear from the age. Deep amber with an off-white head. Caramle malts, oranges, light toasted malts, biscuit, and just a bit of tart cherry. Body is a bit fuller than I was expecting, nice. Flavor is similar to the body with a little more orange citrus and some earth, as well. Don’t really notice the 6%. Solid bock. TimE (5817) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JAN 24, 2008
I think this is my 10th top five Baird beers. Amber-mahogany color. Unbelievably smooth malty body with chocolate, cherries and oranges. Flavors just linger. Body is just right for 6%. It hits everything right for a bock. Need to find more.
