On tap at Bakushu Club Popeye, Tokyo. Hazy dark, dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with dark fruits, chocolate, pine and hints of citrus. Moderate to medium sweet, fairly mild flavours, but balanced between the hoppy and roasty ones. Not the most memorable, but a tasty and easy to drink BIPA. biirusaikou (2705) - - JAN 8, 2016
Draught at Popeye. Quite a decent iba, orange and choclate dominate, notes of coffee and licorice, fairly bitter finish. Baird seems quite solid with this style in general, good stuff.

(Found note from 2 Nov, 2012) Very dark brown, opaque like a Porter. Mild roasted malts, treacle, vinous, a bit of mineral salt, rather thin. Sadly, it is lacking and "stand out" qualities, not very impressed with this one. JohnRMurdoch (4998) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAR 31, 2014
On tap @ Popeye, Tokyo. Dark brown, cola like, not much head. Hoppy aroma. Mild woody hop flavour. Light smooth cola aftertaste. A bit thin for a black IPA. Ferris (16270) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 14, 2013
