Amber, creamy head, leaving ring-lace.

Honey in the back of the throat.
Fullbodied, light burn, a hint caramel.
Good balance and good to drink.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (in NZ). Very sweet at first, but the bitterness increased significantly as I worked my way down the glass. It worked, but hard to say why.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark golden-amber color. Huge aromatic nose of pears and peaches. Leads into a hoppy, fruity mouth upfront and big bitterness in the finish. Very untraditional, but reminds me of some of my favorite pilsners. Not sure I would call this an Imperial, but great beer none the less.
