I’ve never had figgy pudding but if it tastes anything like this I want some. Figgy and malty mildly spicy. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 1, 2016
Sample at Farmhouse. Clear deep amber with a thin off-white head. Rich fruitiness, dark dried fruit, cinnamon, booze, toffee, spice bread. Medium+body, relaxed carbonation. Strong fruitiness, fairly spicy, like drinking a spice cake; mostly dry with moderate bitterness, a little booze and a long spice cake finish. Interesting biirusaikou (2705) - - JAN 2, 2016
Draught at Naka-Meguro taproom. Rich fig with a honey edge, allspice, oily mouthfeel, sweet finish with light boozy notes. Interesting idea but a bit too heavy and sweet in the end. McGarnigle (652) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 17, 2009
633 ml bottle courtesy of Shelton Bros. 7% ABA, according to the label. Pours reddish amber. Medium body, somewhat oily, properly unobtrusive carbonation. Something different. The first hit is big caramel. Yes to cinnamon, but not sure about the figs. Over-spiced. I don’t think it is too sweet, as the hops balance it. But there is an odd, rough aftertaste. Worthwhile more for its uniqueness than its quality. KimJohansen (10509) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2009
Cloudy amber with a medium off white head. Spicy aroma with hoppy and malty notes. Sweet and spicy flavour with malty and caramel notes. Finished bitter.

It’s red-golden with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of fruit and spice. The flavor has sweetness and notes of malt, candy sugar, fruit, citrus, cinnamon and a peppery bite in the finish. yngwie (17078) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 20, 2009
UPDATED: JUL 9, 2010 Bottle, 63.3cl. 7% ABV. It pours an unclear, dark golden body under a nice off-white head. Some cinnamon in the initial aroma, followed by a malty sweetness, some hops and a spiced touch. The flavor is a nice blend of cinnamon and malty sweetness, with a fine bitterness from the hops. Medium to full body with pleasant carbonation. Spiced, malty sweet finish. A rather unusual beer, but sure nice. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. 090821jcwattsrugger (12434) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 10, 2009
Bottle, 36cl, at Patricks. 2007 vintage. It’s a hazy, golden-orange beer with an off-white head. Slightly oxidized nose, with malts, notes of cinnamon and an earthy touch. Sweet, malty flavor with some cinnamon, quite low on bitterness. Full body. An easy drinkable beer that seems to best served fresh. 100213

orange red pour... hazy with an off white head.
initially, this smells very vegetal and sweet... no, it smells that way throughout... cinnamon, caramel, malt and the earthy insides of figs.
the flavor matches the aroma only it is on the sweeter side of what i tend to like... add in some brown sugar, a ton of spiciness and a bitter yeasty finish to round things out.
the medium body is made harsh from the spices and crisp carbonation. meh 6/4/6/3/14/3.3 larsga (7567) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 6, 2010
Medium pale beige head. Hazy amber body with floaties. Malty resiny minty aroma, very harmonic. Dry-sweetish minty oxidized malty taste with strawy soda notes. Mild mouthfeel. Fullish yet light body. Dryish peppery minty aftertaste with malty gingery notes. Nice, mild, drinkable, unusual. (0.36l bottle, Olympen, Oslo. Bottle says 2007.)
