12oz bottle. Poured a darker brown color with red edges and an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate, roast, and a little earthy. Tastes of chocolate, roast, and had a lighter coffee finish. Thinner body.
Pours a deep brown with a thin beige head. The aroma is lighter and has roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, nuts, and some thin earthiness. The taste is also a bit light, but it is pleasing. Flavors are a balance of chocolate, coffee, licorice, with subtle amounts of roasted malt, caramel, and nuts. The aftertaste is a minor chocolate. Its medium in body, with a smooth, creamy texture, and is soft in carbonation. Nothing wrong with this one, but you should be able to find better options. wombat23 (2137) - Texas, USA - DEC 23, 2017

Bottle from Hometown Spirits in Flowery Branch, GA. Aroma is roasted malts, some earthy twigs, chicory. Taste is really straightforward roasted malts with some earthiness. Not tangy enough and more of a brown ale to me, but very drinkable.
