Bomber. Pours a hazy light copper with a good foamy white head. Light citrus rind aroma. Medium body with coarse carbonation. Flavor is mild/light caramel with a lot of fruit - that’s kind of citrus. There’s a light touch of citrus sour. Goes mildly grainy in the finish. The fruit persists, and it’s not exactly bitter, but it’s certainly far from sweet. Interesting ale. koopa (338) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 23, 2010
Bottle purchased at Liquid Solutions.
Appearance: Murky peach with honey folds. A 2 finger white crown has little retention and some lacing.
Smell: Like an under-ripe grapefruit with a mixture of american hops. Simcoe seems to be the dominant one in the nose.
Taste: Natsumikan fruit with some hop bitterness from the simcoes, Horizons and Mount Hoods. Tart finish.
Mouthfeel: Very effervescent and light bodied.
Drinkability: btw the low abv and mouthfeel this one is easy to drink.

As Shizuoka Natsumikan. Hazy orange color with a medium head. A very plantish and leafy aroma, like walking into a greenhouse. Very light flavors of fruit and flowers. A touch of bitterness on the finish. Fairly non-descript. I am not familiar with the fruit used in this beer, but it may be too delicate to stand up to a beer, as it really does not seem to have added much. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - DEC 25, 2009
Sampled on 12/18/2009. This fruit beer pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, citrusy and sweet. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and citrusy, sweet and tart. The hops are citrusy. Lively carbonation. Nice balance. Slightly citrusy and tart. Delicate flavors. A very nice touch of blending a fairly non-traditional brewing fruit into a beer. Subtle. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart and bitter. fonefan (49399) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2009

Pale Golden color beneath a thin white head. Doughy malt and honey aroma. Lightly sweet honey and biscuit like malts accompanied by some unidentified fruitiness. Light bitterness shines through in the finish. Well balanced and very drinkable. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - NOV 22, 2009

22OZ bottel pours a very cloudy pale orange/light amber. Small off-white head. Aroma is orange mango or tangerine and sweet citrusy hops. Malt flavors are light and fruity and while there is some hop flavor, there is not much bitterness from them. Strange fruity flavors but not bad.

Bottle: Pours a cloudy orange color with a nice thick pure white head. The nose is bright and fruity with tons of orange and crispy hop notes. The fruitiness in the nose moves its way seamlessly into the flavor. A bit more sweeter than it is bitter, a hopped up version (ala, the IPA) would be a lot better. Almost like a pummelo, the fruit adds a lot to this that the hops normally would. Nice combination.
