Bottle - Very dark brown, almost black in colour. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malt in the aroma. Roasted taste with notes of coffee and chocolate standing out. Radek Kliber (7501) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 23, 2005
Pours light brown, medium tan top. Woody, slightly smoky aroma that is supported loosely by malt base. Smoked malt, refreshing palate, and woody character with neat bitter to it. Not bad. olsvammel (7312) - Örebro, SWEDEN - JUL 1, 2013
Bottle from Systembolaget. Smell of chocolate, hard bread, also a bit funky aroma, same as their pale ale. Similar taste. I miss the roasted coffee notes, this was more like a porter. larsniclas (7285) - Billdal, SWEDEN - JUL 12, 2013

Medium sized ashvanilla beige foamy head on top of a deep dark brown to black colored beer.
Aromas of smoke, liquorice, malts, tobacco, some sugar water, ash, hint of cedar, cigar, fishy and some spices.
Flavours of tobacco, smoke, malt toast, liquorice, bitters, cigar(ette), some liquorice wood, (toasted) tea herbs, ash, thin coffee, some watery wood roast/smoke, hay and grain toast, herb toast and some fishy wood tones.
Aftertaste is bitter with toast, smoke, tobacco, light fishy and something watery light liquorice ish...
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly lightly fuller bodied and a creamy texture.
Strange stout, watery, thin, strange range of aromas and flavours... Not bad but expected more!

330ml bottle pours almost black in color with a plentiful light brown head with good retention leaving a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is roasted malty bitterness balanced with the malty sweetness and some hoppy bitter notes in the finish. Light to medium body and adequate carbonation. Although a little thin in the body, I really enjoyed the balance of flavors that this stout offered. Well done!!! Singularity (6369) - Blattniksele, SWEDEN - APR 20, 2013
Bottle. Aroma of coffee and not much else. Taste is pretty watery, some coffee notes. Clean Taste Zita (6331) - Assentoft, DENMARK - OCT 5, 2014
light licorice, black, brown foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, oily feel, flat, dry finish. TimE (6267) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JAN 4, 2009
Had not tried this in a couple years and had it on New Years Eve at the Nakameguro Taproom. Seriously underrated brew. Great example of the style, with its modest ABV, dryness, dark chocolate, dark fruits character and just a hint of baked cake. Moderate bitterness on the end and deceptively full bodied for the ABV. Solid depth and balance through out. Superb. Christos (5909) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - DEC 20, 2015
