The concept for our Single-Take Session Ale is this: a moderate gravity (11.7 P) Belgian-yeast fermented ale that enjoys lots of hop-flavor and hop-aroma character without exhibiting much hop-bitterness (only 20 IBUs). We want Single-Take to deliver a complex yet balanced flavor explosion that is bright and sprite and never fatiguing. A deft grist combination of floor-malted barley (Maris Otter and Bohemian Pilsner), wheat and rye provide the perfect stage upon which our whole hop actors (German Tettnanger, Czech Saaz, American Santiam and Amarillo) get to sparkle. Our Belgian yeast strain holds the entire flavor performance together with its firm, spicy and tart directorial oversight.

Amber, bit dull, bubbly head. Aroma has a herbal hop character. Mellow, fruity apple and pear hops, not much bitterness, just a nice quaffable session ale.

Tap at Craft, Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is malt, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

from Erzbierschof - cloudy amber-orange beer under a solid foam left; aroma of mint and tead, light soapy; subtle carbonation, medium-bodied, spicy and wheaty finish with lingering notes of tea and mint; quite bitter - using Belgian yeast doesn’t make of it a Belgian ale ...

Bottle reduced to clear from Dan Murphy. Popped the top and experienced a rather large gush over, so obviously an old beer, but nice to see that Baird bottle carbonate. Pours dull copper with thick pillowy head. Aroma is peppery and slightly grassy. Bottle was over-carbed (hardly surprising given the gush over) but could still taste the beer. Faintly herbal with a decent malt backbone. I'm sure if I got a fresh one it'd be a completely different beer. Still a shitload better than XXXX. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Ottakringer shop. BBD 7.9.2015. Which was something like a month overdue when we bought it. Aroma exceptionally heavy lightstruck. Hazy orange colour. Weird mint tea notes in taste. Also lightstruck. My suggestion for Baird Brewery - take care where you distribute. I have had some very good beers brought to me from Japan by a friend (Dusan)

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2015 Bottle from Ottakringer shop. BB: 7.9.2015, bought in October.Hazy orange color with medium white head. Light struck, citrus hops in aroma. Mint in taste, together with skunk. Strong disappointment.

Bottle. Hazy, orange color. Aroma and taste: fruity? a little citrus, light spices, yeast, slightly watery, quite good.

330ml bottle. Slightly hazy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity aroma has a peach note, some nectarine, floral hoppy overtones, a cautious herbal spicy yeasty touch with hints of white pepper, peppercress, mustard seed. Taste is minimally sweet and tart fruity, very explicit notes of peach, a touch of nectarine, dry hoppy counterpart, some yeasty spiciness; slightly watery. Sadly the richness of subtle flavours isn’t fully reproduced in taste.

Nicko (223) - Ashfield, AUSTRALIA - JUL 10, 2015
Bottle. Big frothy head with staying power on golden body. Floral nectarine type aromas, quite sweet finish.
