COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The concept for our Single-Take Session Ale is this: a moderate gravity (11.7 P) Belgian-yeast fermented ale that enjoys lots of hop-flavor and hop-aroma character without exhibiting much hop-bitterness (only 20 IBUs). We want Single-Take to deliver a complex yet balanced flavor explosion that is bright and sprite and never fatiguing. A deft grist combination of floor-malted barley (Maris Otter and Bohemian Pilsner), wheat and rye provide the perfect stage upon which our whole hop actors (German Tettnanger, Czech Saaz, American Santiam and Amarillo) get to sparkle. Our Belgian yeast strain holds the entire flavor performance together with its firm, spicy and tart directorial oversight.

Bottle. Very carbonated pour, cloudy golden body, messy white head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy, citrus, light ginger. Brisk carbonation and a lighter body make for a gassy mouthfeel. Lemon-lime hop flavour, lightly spicy, low bitterness.

Tap at Bashamichi Taproom, Yokohama. Orange colour with a white head. Heavy lacing. Fruity aroma and a flavour.

3.3
Idiosynkrasie (7952) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 12, 2015
330ml bottle. Slightly hazy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity aroma has a peach note, some nectarine, floral hoppy overtones, a cautious herbal spicy yeasty touch with hints of white pepper, peppercress, mustard seed. Taste is minimally sweet and tart fruity, very explicit notes of peach, a touch of nectarine, dry hoppy counterpart, some yeasty spiciness; slightly watery. Sadly the richness of subtle flavours isn’t fully reproduced in taste.

3.4
reebtogi (6378) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 29, 2012
330ml bottle pours golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some nice lacing rings on the glass. Aroma is mild but pleasant hops with hints of yeast. Taste is light fruity sweetness with a pleasant hop bitterness with plenty of carbonation and decent body to bring everything together nicely. A very well done session ale with a Belgian twist.
