Bottled. Slighty hazy amber colour with a mediumsized beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is floral and fruity with some berries and a nice caramelly and bready maltiness to it. Flavour is very nicely balanced malts and hops, giving a nice sweetish fruity, floral and musty flavour along with some nice bready notes as well as nice lingering bitterness in the finish.
fully cloudy copper-brown beer under a persistent beige foam; correct lacework; flowery hoppiness with notes of berries; a good malt backbone, solid carbonation; astringent and fairly bittter, notes of umami (a recurrent property for this brewery); quite dry, citrusy hoppiness and more flowery notes in a long lingering bitterness Travlr (25876) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 5, 2012

Bottle at home ... copper ... thin white head ... soft toffee ... light hop nose ... bitter front ... little bitter grassy hop ... hint of medicinal hop ... not me omhper (25568) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 22, 2009
Draught at Baird Naka-Meguro Taproom. Cloudy reddish amber. Gooseberry aroma. Sweetish and fruity with caramelly malt. Restraiend hops bring out a vague dusty gooseberry flavour. The malt profile is pedestrian American style brewpub chain-like: clean and hard, in bad need of some serious hopping to cover it. Not my cup of tea. madmitch76 (25382) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2011

Bottle in Craft Beer. Cloudy gold beer, good off white head. Light sherbetty nose. Palate is light and dry with fine carbonation. Nice crisp sherbetty fruit sorbet if guava, mango, passion fruit, water melon and pink grapefruit. A little creamy malt in the backdrop. Great stuff! Wish we could get to try more Japanese beers - many of them are very nice indeed!
